Hans Radetzki works as a freelance cinematographer, director and producer.

For Hans, filmmaking is a great excuse to meet people and dive into different realities. His aim is to create an open space with his camera that allows actors and protagonists alike to be and express themselves. He sees holding that neutral and encouraging space as his biggest strength but also the greatest challenge on set. Only by doing so, he believes film can become a medium that will move the audience and can change things for the better. Hans is most interested in social, political and humanitarian topics. He sees film as a powerful tool of change and activism that reaches far beyond the artistic side of the process.

His focus lies in documentary filmmaking but he also shoots fiction and commercials. He is based between Berlin and Southern Germany and works globally. From 2019 until 2024, Hans studied Cinematography at Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf in Berlin. He graduated in 2024. Besides independent documentary and fiction projects, his main clients are brands such as Adidas, Patagonia, Petzl, Black Diamond, Scarpa, DMM, Scott Sports, German National Tourism Board, 3Sat and Bayerischer Rundfunk. With a background in performance rock climbing (he has both sport climbed 9a and bouldered 8C), Hans has the necessary skills to film at height and he often combines his two passions in his work. Here he provides full production packages for climbing and outdoor films, ranging from conception to delivery.
